Located in the south central part of North Carolina, this 2500-acre impoundment of the Yadkin-Pee Dee River was created for a hydroelectric dam but also serves as a great destination for paddling and outdoor recreation. The lake has over 30 miles of shoreline to enjoy. The main access site for the lake is a public boat ramp located on the southern end of the lake near the dam.
